Fashion Designer Gianni Versace, born in 1946 in Reggio Calabria, Italy.

Gianni was one of the most talented fashion designers of the past decades,
Gianni's mother supported the family with her small tailor-shop, there; he learned everything about making clothes and soon he designed apparels himself, which was sold in his mother's shop. Then, Versace acquired additional skills working in fabric procurement positions. He began working as a freelance designer and at the age of 25 Gianni was creating ready-to-wear collections for top fashion houses of the time such as Genny, Complice and Callaghan.

Gianni Versace Founded his own company in 1978 in Milan with the help of his brother Santo, Gianni Versace S.p.A is one of the leading international fashion design houses and a symbol of Italian luxury world-wide.

After the shocking death of Gianni Versace who was killed by Andrew Cunanan on July 15, 1997, his younger sister Donatella Versace, formerly vice-president stepped in as creative director of the designing House and his older brother Santo Versace became CEO. The Versace Empire has taken the fashion world by storm the last few years with Donatella's collections for a strong, sexy, independent woman, fierce and chic. Versace has a loyal crowd of A-list celebrities and models supporting & wearing Versace.
